نامه ریاست انجمن ترومبوز هموستاز ایران به پرزیدنت انجمن جهانی ترومبوز هموستاز

به گزارش روابط عمومی انجمن ترومبوز هموستاز ایران، نامه ریاست انجمن ترومبوز هموستاز ایران به پرزیدنت انجمن جهانی ترومبوز هموستاز درخصوص شفافسازی سیاست انجمن بین المللی در قبال محدودیت سفرهای علمی بدلیل شهروندی ایران و برخی کشورهای مسلمان به شرح زیر می باشد:

Dear President, Secretary-General and Executive Director,

I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Peyman Eshghi, professor of Pediatric Hematology at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Science in Tehran, and President of the Iranian Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis (IRSTH). I am writing you on behalf of the more than 80  Iranians who are member of the ISTH.

Recently, the Supreme Court of the USA has upheld the travel ban for six countries including Iran by the Trump administration. In March 2017 you issued a statement of concern on the policy, which was at that time still an executive order, that has subsequently been challenged in court. In your statement you made it clear you would closely monitor the effects of travel restrictions and that you would continue to champion international collaboration and the open exchange of ideas and perspectives.

I would very much appreciate to be informed about ISTH's position now that this travel restriction has become a reality, which may imply that some ISTH members may not be able to attend a meeting, such as the one planned in Philadelphia in 2021, not based on individual visa isues, but because of their citizenship.(enclosed you can find the official letter as attached file)
